For over 25 years, Gregory Hicks has represented clients throughout Cherokee County, Cobb County and surrounding areas. Through vigorous advocacy and determination, Mr. Hicks has established an exceptional record by gaining the most favorable results for all clients.
Early in his legal career, Mr. Hicks served as a law clerk to all Judges in Cherokee and Forsyth Counties. After completing his clerkship, Mr. Hicks represented the State of Georgia in numerous civil and criminal cases while employed by the Attorney General of Georgia and later as an Assistant District Attorney in Cherokee County, Georgia.
Mr. Hicks has achieved successful and victorious results for clients both at trial and on appeal since entering private practice in 1994. He has represented clients charged with every type of crime, including driving under the influence, theft, drug charges, assault or battery, domestic violence, rape, child molestation and murder. He was employed by a multi-billion dollar insurance carrier to represent a truck driver on charges of vehicular homicide. After a jury trial, the truck driver was cleared of all charges.
Mr. Hicks has been a leader throughout the legal community in Georgia and has gained the respect of judges and attorneys alike. Attorneys in Cherokee County elected Mr. Hicks to serve as the local representative on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and active in the Criminal Law Section and the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar as well as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
